Omschrijving van Maria van Jessekerk. Neo-gotische KRUISBASILIEK met twee verschillende ingangstorens en dakruiter, gebouwd in 1877-'82 naar ontwerp uit 1874 van E.J. Margry ter vervanging van een oudere Waterstaatskerk, met uitgebouwd aan de zijde van de Oude Langendijk de sacristie met verdieping onder zadeldak en traptorens onder tentspits.
